What are dental implants?

Dental implants are small titanium posts that mimic a natural tooth's root. They fuse with the jawbone to create a stable foundation for a custom tooth restoration to attach to. Since implants permanently fuse with the bone, you don't have to worry about your artificial teeth moving or shifting around in your mouth. There are also no food restrictions, and you can care for them by brushing and flossing just like you would your natural teeth.

What does the dental implant procedure entail?

The dental implant process takes place in two phases. First, we surgically place the implants into your jawbone where your missing teeth are. Then, we give the implant time to fuse with the jawbone. Once the healing process is complete, the second phase begins. In the restoration phase, we fabricate custom replacement teeth that snap onto your implants. Once your new teeth are securely in place, you can start enjoying the benefits of your restored smile.

When should I choose dental implants over another tooth replacement option?

When it comes to choosing a tooth replacement option, there are several things that are taken into account, from your budget to your oral health to the number of teeth you're missing. At your consultation, we'll examine your smile and discuss your goals. Then, we'll walk you through our recommendations that are based on your specific needs. Our goal is to ensure that you feel confident and well-informed when it comes to choosing your tooth replacement method!
